Discussion:
Why don't you just make this useless program work?

I can't think of any other program I've got that has performed anywhere near as badly as GoLive. There is just about nothing good about it. I've just wasted an hour trying to log onto an ftp site that Transmit can log onto easily. There are hundreds of things wrong with this software garbage. I wish prospective buyers would read this before buying. It's useless. Save your money.

Firstly, you don't say what errors or behaviour you are getting in GoLive. Most of the time, if it works in a third-party FTP client such as Transmit but not GoLive it turns out to be a difference in the way the two clients are configured. Occasionally, it does turn out to be something not handled correctly in GoLive. At the moment, its anybody's guess. What troubleshooting have you tried? What happens (or doesn't) in GoLive? Have you checked out this document:

There are hundreds of things wrong with this software garbage.

Have you contacted Technical Support about any of these and/or the FTP issue?

Although I don't agree that GL is a "useless program", I do wish it wouldn't crash so often.

After spending the last couple of weeks using Dreamweaver, I've gotta say it never crashes. There are things about Dreamweaver that make me apprciate GoLive-- it has a much nicer interface-- but overall DW is a much better program.

I've been using GoLive since version 6. GoLive CS crashed on me a few times but versions 6 and CS2 have never crashed on me.

I recently got DreamWeaver, but haven't been able to explore because it keeps crashing! It seems every web app is stable for some and crash prone for others.
