From what I hear it looks as if Adobe is adopting Dreamweaver and GoLive will be orphaned. Dreamweaver is supposed to be included in the next Creative Suite.

That's good to know. I do hope GL survives, even if it means it's interface and better features are incorporated into DW, or visa versa.

Does anyone know for sure if Adobe will continue support for GoLive?
To be honest, while I've been told Dreamweaver writes better code, using the layout grid feature in Golive has been the fastest, easiest way to create web pages that I've ever encountered. It seems that in Dreamweaver you either build pages using css or tables and everyone says tables are bad?!?
If Dreamweaver is going to be the only game in town, could some please advise me on the way to properly build pages(in Dreamweaver) that is close to the GoLive procedures?
Much thanks in advance to anyone who can help or point me in the right direction.

Tables are not bad. They are perfectly fine. They will produce the desired
results for the next 25 years. But they are a bit retro, that's all. You
can continue to use them forever, really.

People who say they are 'bad' are the zealots - don't pay any attention to
them.

(they are poor to use as a general layout method for many reasons, but they
work and they work well)

Daniel said it best:

I totally and completely agree. If Dreamweaver "adopted" this feature, I would be tempted to switch (I've tried), not that it really matters at this point... But the flexibility of the layout grid makes GoLive the superior product for "designing" web pages in my opinion. It's a little quirky, but overall makes for a much more pleasant user interface experience.

Long Live GoLive

Of course. We support the current and -1 version of all products which have not been discontinued. If you mean continue to develop, then maybe what I said in this other thread is relevant:
